Filling wrinkles on the forehead – what is it?
In order to effectively remove forehead wrinkles, it is recommended to perform a non-invasive procedure of filling the furrows. As a rule, when approaching this defect in a holistic and multi-faceted manner, we prefer synergistic combined treatments in the field of aesthetic medicine, in the first step using preparations based on botulinum toxin. Subsequently, the loss of tissue volume at the preferred site is replenished. The fillers that are used for this purpose are injected into the tissues in such a way as to effectively fill the resulting wrinkles, furrows and other skin defects. The treatment of filling wrinkles consists in injecting substances under the skin, thanks to which the resulting furrow is at the level of the surrounding skin on the forehead.
Is filling forehead wrinkles safe?
The non-invasive procedure of filling wrinkles on the forehead is usually performed under local anesthesia. Safe preparations such as EMLA cream or lidocaine are used for anesthesia. A properly selected preparation and the right technique of the treatment guarantee a smooth, uniform surface that does not differ to the touch from the rest of the skin on the forehead. The procedure is performed by the injection method, i.e. with the use of a syringe and a needle or cannula. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to achieve such an effect.
